Gut Rumble

Novelty Air Delivery Co.

Send something ridiculous to someone who deserves it.

Your friend. Your ex. Your teacher. Your parents. The investor who rejected you.

Pick a payload. Pay $1. Send the link.

Warming up the compressor…

How it works

  1. Pick a sound and address it. Four to choose from, $1 to $5. Put their name on it and add a note if you like.
  2. Pay, and we send it. The email goes out from dispatch@gutrumble.com the moment payment clears. You keep a tracking link that tells you whether they have played it.
  3. They tap it once. The first device to press play claims it. Anyone else who opens that link is told it has already been released, so one payment reaches exactly one person.

Links stop working 48 hours after purchase. On iPhone the sound plays even with the silent switch on; on Android it vibrates too.

Questions

What is Gut Rumble?

Gut Rumble emails a fart to someone. You pick one of four sounds, enter their email address, pay between $1 and $5, and we send them a link. When they tap it, they hear the fart. You keep a link of your own, which tells you whether they have played it and how many times.

How much does it cost?

Between $1 and $5 depending on which sound you pick. Classic Toot is $1, The Wet One is $2, Silent But Deadly is $3, and Nuclear Blast is $5. You pay once per fart, with no subscription and no account.

Is it one time use?

Yes. A fart plays for one person, once claimed. The first device to press play keeps it and can replay it as often as it likes; anyone else who opens that link is told it has already been released. So forwarding the email does not work — whoever opens it first takes the turn, and there is no second one. That is the main thing separating this from sending a sound file.

How does it reach them?

We email it, from dispatch@gutrumble.com, as soon as your payment clears. You type their address twice so a typo cannot quietly send it to a stranger. Email is the only way it goes out — there is no share sheet and nothing for you to forward, so there is never any doubt about where it went. Afterwards you get a tracking link that shows whether they have opened it.

Does the recipient need an app or an account?

No. It opens in whatever browser they already have, and neither of you needs to sign up for anything. There is no app to install and no login screen.

How long does the link last?

Links stop working 48 hours after purchase, whether or not the recipient ever opened it. The whole point is that a gag should not follow someone around forever.

Will it play if their phone is on silent?

Yes, on iPhones running iOS 16.4 or later. Web audio is normally muted by the silent switch, so Gut Rumble declares a playback audio session the way a native music app does, and the fart comes through the speaker regardless. On Android it also vibrates in a pattern matched to the sound.

Is it anonymous?

As anonymous as you want. Your name is optional — leave it blank and it arrives from “Someone”. Your own email address is optional too, and is never shown to the recipient; it is only used to send you your own copy. The recipient sees the name you chose, the sound, and your note, and nothing else about you.

Are the sounds real?

They are real recordings, not synthesised tones, which is why they land the way they do. Nothing biological is involved at any point in the process.
